Dark Omen is a highly graphics accelerated real-time strategy game; what more is there to say. The campaign has it's high points; the conversations between battles add to the course of the game, but what I don't understand is why a commander would put up with a snotty witch hunter; kill the man! The rivalry between Bernhardt and the witch hunter is rather intense, yet pointless. I agree that the campaign needs some conflict throughout the game, but this conflict never gets resolved and gives the impression that the commander is evil; so why would he be hired in the first place by people that are against evil; why isn't he working for the undead instead. On the contrary the battles can be rather intense. The real-time battle sequence may be a bit overdone, but nobody ever said that was a bad thing. A Voodoo card is highly recommended, but even without it, it has a good graphical environment. One thing that's good about the graphics is that the game still plays well on a computer below minimum requirements (if your hardware and processor are in good shape). Overall the game is a challenging strategy game with excellent graphics; it's a good buy.

Dark Omen is a dark and depressing game. What it has in graphics and playablity is over shadowed by the dark depressing battle feilds and cinemas. The units for the human army are well constructed and pretty cool. The Orc army is unusual, but funny. However, the guy who thought up the Undead units needs to go see his shrink(or get off what ever medication he's on.). The fact that anybody could think up those Wraiths, Wights, and Vampires is a little unnerving. I wanted to go back to Warcraft 2 with my Paladins that could send undead to meet their doom! The little editors that some enterprising people have made are pretty neat. The Cheat Codes are a nice feature also. Mostly because they give you a ton of money and your units a lot of strenth. Basically anything that makes a game easier to beat works for me.
